FAQ
-
Are your products food-safe and microwave safe? All of our pieces are glazed with food-safe glaze and are microwave safe, unless stated otherwise. We recommend gently hand washing/drying to extend the life of your pottery. Avoid sudden temperature changes; thermal shock can cause pottery to crack. Never use pottery on a hot stove stop, broiler, or open flame. Avoid pouring boiling water into pottery. Boiling water can crack your pot! Pottery with gold luster must NOT go in the microwave or dishwasher. Using harsh scrubbing pads to clean your pottery can scratch the surface and remove gold luster. We recommend gently hand washing/drying and avoiding microwave use to extend the life of your pottery.
-
There are some defects, is it still safe to use?Due to the nature of handmade ceramics, minor variations and imperfections may occur, adding to the character of your one-of-a-kind piece. If there are too many pinholes revealing bare clay, we will state that it is NOT food safe.
-

In the unfortunate event that an item arrives damaged, please contact us through Instagram with photos of the damaged piece & its original packaging. Each & every piece is handmade & hand painted with care. However the kiln gods dictate what happens during the firing process. Sometimes there's imperfections in the glaze like small bubbles or cracks. They will be highlighted in the description of each product for your discretion.
-
Do you take commissions/custom orders? We may accept commissions from time to time, but with limited slots Details will be announced on our Instagram when we do, so be sure to give us a follow!
-
How long does a custom request take?It may take between 3-5 weeks for a commission to be done. We have our own kiln but due to how much power is consumed for a single fire. We would prefer to load the kiln fully per fire to conserve energy & maximize efficiency. We do 3 fires in total so it does take a little longer for a piece to be completed.
